Later this year, the Department of Transportation (DOT) will begin distributing more than $7.5 billion of funding for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to state DOT agencies and other eligible entities. To qualify, state DOT agencies are developing deployment plans to be submitted by August 1st. With such a large amount of federal funding at stake and decisions being made regarding the future of EV charging, utilities and related entities will want to follow the program’s progress. This webinar will describe the goals of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), available funding for EV charging, the purpose of the state deployment plans, process and timing, and potential impact to utilities and energy infrastructure companies.
