Renewable energy has become an important variable in electric generation portfolios across the US. In states like North Carolina and California the rapid growth of renewable energy production has challenged utilities to seek innovative solutions to address intermittency, frequency regulation, and other technical challenges.
Our panel of experts will outline how innovations in technology and policy are driving the future of solar deployment. Each panelist will provide a brief presentation highlighting their area of expertise followed by a panel presentation.
Speakers include:
Paul Quinlan, ScottMadden – Paul will highlight national and regional trends associated with increased renewable energy deployment and how utilities are responding to the challenges.
Joe Stevens, Triangle MicroWorks – Joe will provide insight into how technology, solar inverters, and communication standardization are driving innovative solutions.
John Gajda, Duke Energy - John will provide insight into how policies created by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission are driving change at a national level.
Gabe Cantor, Strata Solar - Gabe will discuss how utility scale renewable energy providers are responding to the challenge.
