Name: Partner Event: FREEDM Short Course - Power Electronics in Microgrids
Date: January 23, 2019 - January 25, 2019
Event Description:
The integration of distributed generation, load balancing and energy storage form the model of a microgrid, and power electronics (PE) have become an important part of modern design. Not only are many storage and distributed generation systems connected to the microgrid via PE converters, many modern loads use some sort of power conversion to ensure high-efficiency and high-performance operation.

Taught by NC State University faculty and industry professionals, this course is targeted towards working professionals with backgrounds in engineering, including project engineers, program managers, system integrators, and utility engineers. A detailed course outline will be available soon.
