Are you excited about the future of cleantech? We are too! Join us Wednesday, February 23rd to discover novel energy technologies from the next generation of energy innovators.
RTCC is excited to host the Carolinas regional Explore Event of the EnergyTech University Prize competition, a new competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy?s Office of Technology Transitions. Student teams from across the U.S. are tasked with identifying a high-potential energy technology, assessing its market potential, and proposing a strategy for commercialization.
At the event, 12 student teams from Appalachian State University, Duke University, NC State University, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, Virginia Tech, and the University of Virginia will present their business plans to commercialize innovative energy technologies, and expert judges will identify the top team selected to move on to the national competition in March as well as semi-finalists in a number of bonus categories. Teams are competing for $250,000 in cash prizes and will be rewarded for their creative thinking around commercialization opportunities.
Jason Massey, Co-Founder and CEO at ndustrial and the 2021 winner of the RTCC Cleantech Impact: Energy Award, will be a featured guest speaker at the event, sharing his story of energy technology innovation and entrepreneurial success. Attending also means you get to help select our ?Audience Choice? winner, learn more about exciting new energy technologies, and engage with the teams at the Explore Event.
